Pairing Trackers
Adding Trackers or replacing a receiver.
Your set is paired at the factory; everyday use does not require re-pairing. This page is for adding Trackers, replacing a receiver or confirmed loss of pairing data. For normal connections, see the Quick start guide.
When should I pair again?
- When adding Trackers.
- When replacing the receiver.
- When the original pairing data is confirmed lost.
Check the connection before re-pairing
For occasional disconnects, stuttering or a weak signal, start with Connection troubleshooting. Battery level, cables and receiver placement are usually better places to check first.
Pairing steps
Pairing has two parts: prepare the receiver, then join the Tracker.
Put the receiver into pairing mode
First, connect the receiver to your computer.
Put the receiver into pairing mode
Select the receiver whose name contains Receiver. After sending, continue with the Tracker step below.
Select the correct device. Disconnect any other card or tool using that device first.

Join the Tracker
Use a USB data connection. Do not hold the Tracker's button to pair.
- Mini series: Put the Tracker in the dock's data slot nearest the Type-C socket, then connect the dock to your computer with a data cable.
- Lite 2: Connect it to your computer with a Type-C data cable.
Pair the Tracker
Complete the receiver step above first. Select the Tracker connected by USB data cable, not Receiver. Repeat for each Tracker separately.
Select the correct device. Disconnect any other card or tool using that device first.

Disconnect the Tracker's data connection afterward, then open SlimeVR and check that it connects through the receiver.
Using the web configurator instead
Open SmolSlime Web Configurator in a browser supporting Web Serial／WebUSB. Connect and select the device, then use the page's pairing function.
Both Mini and Lite support this configurator. Check whether you have selected the receiver or a Tracker, and verify the connection in SlimeVR after pairing.
Adding more Trackers
Each Mini receiver supports up to 16 Trackers; each Lite receiver up to 10. Mini and Lite Trackers／receivers are not interchangeable.
Pair extra Trackers with the corresponding receiver and assign the new body parts. Contact us if you need help.
The tool can't find my device
Check that your cable supports data and that a Mini is in the dock's data slot. Close other tools using the same device, reconnect it and try again. Temporarily close SlimeVR if needed.
